Your contribution to protecting nature

How to preserve the beauty of the Baunei Coast
The untouched beauty of the Baunei Coast is a precious treasure, and preserving it is something we can achieve only through everyoneās commitment. Here are some practical tips to help you minimize your impact during your visit:
1. LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS
Take all your trash with you, including bottles, wrappers and cigarette butts. Bring a small personal bag to collect anything that does not belong in nature.
2. RESPECT THE FLORA AND THE TRAILS
Do not pick plants or flowers. Walk only on marked paths to avoid damaging the vegetation and contributing to soil erosion.
3. RESPECT LOCAL WILDLIFE
On the Golgo Plateau it is common to see donkeys that may approach visitors. Observe them respectfully and avoid sudden or intrusive movements.
4. AVOID SINGLE-USE PLASTIC
Bring a reusable water bottle and choose glass, steel or compostable/recycled paper containers for food. Make sure the materials you bring are easy to reuse or dispose of properly to reduce waste to a minimum.
5. KEEP NOISE TO A MINIMUM
Maintain a quiet environment while hiking or relaxing on the beach. This helps preserve the natural silence and avoids disturbing other visitors.
6. FOLLOW LOCAL REGULATIONS
If a cove or hiking trail requires a reservation, has limited access hours or restricts the number of visitors, follow the rules. These measures protect fragile areas and help keep them unspoiled for future generations.
7. SUPPORT THE LOCAL ECONOMY
Purchase artisanal products or local food from small shops and producers. This helps sustain the community and keeps the local culture alive.
āPerhaps nowhere else in Italy is there such a vast and little-known stretch of coastline: 40 kilometers of limestone cliffs and rugged walls, interrupted only by a handful of small coves. It is arguably the most beautiful stretch of Italian coastline, and without a doubt the wildest and most dramatic.ā
